Welcome to my atelier.

My name is Marga van der Vet, and I am a costume maker, seamstress and designer with a lifelong passion for historical fashion, couture craftsmanship and theatrical clothing.

For many years I have been creating handmade garments: Victorian-Style ( I love acting as Marie Antoinette, but without loosing my head), and Medieval-Style.

Both inspired by history, elegance and traditional tailoring techniques. My work combines historical authenticity with practical wearability, always with deep respect for craftsmanship and durable construction.

As a proud BERNINA Ambassador, I work with professional sewing techniques and carefully selected materials to create garments and accessories that are both visually striking and made to last. My atelier focuses on handmade quality rather than mass production, with every piece individually crafted and finished by hand.

For the photography on these websites, I happily model many of the creations myself — together with my two loyal mannequin companions, Adam and Eve.

The backgrounds are enhanced with Canva AI, making us not only extremely sustainable, but apparently also enthusiastic time travellers and world travellers… without ever leaving the atelier.
