Returns Policy
At Historique Couture, nearly all garments and accessories are handmade, one-of-a-kind or created in very limited quantities. Because of the nature of artisan costume work, historical fashion and couture garments, a standard return policy is generally not offered.
No Standard Returns
Returns based on temporary use, event wear or personal preference after use are not accepted. Handmade clothing and costume pieces are vulnerable to damage, wear, odors, makeup stains and alterations caused during use, making resale impossible in many cases.
For this reason, all sales are considered final.
Customers are therefore encouraged to carefully review measurements, descriptions and photographs before placing an order. Questions are always welcome prior to purchase.
Made-to-Measure and Custom Orders
Custom-made, altered or made-to-measure creations can never be returned or refunded, as these items are specifically created for the individual customer.
Exceptions and Consultation
In the unlikely event of a serious mistake, incorrect shipment or significant problem with the order, customers are invited to contact Historique Couture directly within a reasonable time after delivery.
Every situation will be reviewed personally and fairly, and reasonable solutions can always be discussed in mutual consultation.
Damaged Parcels
If a parcel arrives visibly damaged during transport, customers are advised to:
- keep all packaging materials
- photograph the parcel immediately
- contact the shipping carrier when necessary
- inform Historique Couture as soon as possible
Orders above €250 are generally shipped with additional insurance coverage whenever available through the carrier.
Contact
Questions regarding an order, sizing or specific concerns are always welcome before purchase. Clear communication helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures the best possible experience for both customer and maker.
