Custome Made Medieval Corset, XS-XXXL
This handcrafted historical corset is inspired by the elegant shaping garments worn from the late Renaissance into the early Baroque period. It also suits the medieval periode perfectly if combined with a sober dress or blouse and skirt. Designed to create a beautifully structured silhouette, the corset features carefully boned panels and distinctive decorative tabs at the waist, giving the garment both structural function and striking visual character.
The corset is constructed from strong canvas and specialized corsetry fabrics, reinforced with a sturdy inner structure to ensure durability and comfortable shaping. Steel or synthetic boning provides firm support while allowing natural movement.
One of the most distinctive elements of this design is the row of hand-constructed waist tabs (often called peplum tabs or skirt tabs). These small structured panels flare slightly over the hips, creating an elegant line and allowing the corset to sit comfortably when worn over skirts, bum rolls, or layered garments.
The bodice laces at the front and also features adjustable lacing at the shoulders. This allows flexibility in fit and makes the corset adaptable to a range of body shapes and sizes.
For additional historical volume, the corset can be worn together with a bum roll (bump) or similar understructure, as shown in the photo. This creates the graceful hip shape often seen in Renaissance, Baroque, and early Victorian silhouettes.
